When & How should start?
Engineering is the most hunted after class of 12th in india. Any student from 12th standard with mathematics is eligible to take admission in engineering.. However, there is a rigorous selection procedure at place for computer engineers wherein admission to the B.E/ B.Tech courses is extremely competitive in most of the best universities . In india IIT JEE is become religion for all students who passed their 12th with Maths without knowing the difficulty level of IIT JEE they start prepartion because all of their friends are doing this .Fact is these compitions are very tough for an average student approximetly 14 lakhs students appear in JEE Mains every year and as its paper is also very tough so most of the students disqualify this examination, If we count seats of CSE and IT in IITs and NITS its not more than 17 to 20 thousand rest 1380000 did not get admission in their dream college and desired branch for doing B.Tech from NITs and IITs you should have atleast 75% marks in class 12th.
So next option to go NITS in as MCA course through NIMCET average packages and placements of MCA students are simillar as of B.Tech. and as compare to JEE mains NIMCET is very much easier exam due to lack of awareness only 12 to 15 thousands students are giving this exam every year and there are 890 seats in NITS.
So if you want to make carrer in CS and IT field then MCA would be a better chance after your graduation in B.Sc. or BCA.
So students Choose samrtly your carrer.
Like all other engineering professions, Computer Engineering too requires practical knowledge to be employable. There is no short-cut for computer professionals, whatever one knows needs to be put into practice and loopholes would come out only when exposed to projects and other practices. Therefore, candidates who are willing to make a career in IT industry should have maximum exposure to practical knowledge so that they can perform efficiently. Some students are doing jobs after BCA i have serious advise for Them first complete your MCA then start any job other wise you will face lot of problems in Future regarding promotions Hike and etc.
