

Some seats in NIMCET examination are reserved for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS category. NIMCET reservation criteria specifies the number of reserved seats and they are mentioned in the Information Brochure of NIMCET. However a candidate needs to provide valid documents at the time of submission of application and at the time of admission. The proforma for all required documents is mentioned in Annexure I, II, III and IV of the Information Brochure.

How to obtain caste certificate?
The caste certificate is issued by the designated authorities of the state governments i.e. SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) or Tehsildar. The providing authorities may vary from state to state. For candidates who wish to apply for the caste certificate, they need to contact the designated authorities of their respective areas of permanent residence.
The candidate should put up his/her application to the concerned Tehsildar on any working day in the prescribed form and obtain a receipt of the same. However you can also apply for the caste certificate online on the respective state portals.

- Caste certificate of father
- Self Declaration
- Address Proof
- Income certificate
- Certificates in respect to caste / warden / village head

How to obtain EWS certificate?
The application for the issue of an EWS certificate can be submitted online or offline and it may vary for some states depending upon the state government.
You can get the EWS certificate from your local government authority (Tehsil). The certificate is called an ‘Income and Assets Certificate’, and this is the proof that is required to avail the EWS reservation. However now you can also apply for EWS Certificate online but you need to find the issuing authority website of the state government. Read all the instructions provided on the online application and for applying EWS certificate online make sure to go through the govt or authorized website. The format for EWS is same all over the country and you can also find it in Annexure IV of the Information Brochure.
